BV Grade A steel is a BV certified (Bureau Veritas) general structural steel plate used in shipbuilding. BV Grade A steel is mainly used for shipbuilding. Corrosion resistance and high strength-to-weight ratio make this steel plate very suitable for the efficient manufacture of hulls, bulkheads, upper decks and hatch covers of tankers, bulk carriers, container ships and LNG carriers.
